Privacy Policy
How SolveMY collects, uses, and protects your personal data under Malaysia's PDPA 2010.
Last updated: 22 May 2026
1. Collection of Information
We collect personal data including but not limited to: Name, IC/Passport number (for KYC identity verification), phone number, home/service address, bank account details, and payment information.
2. Purpose of Data Usage
Your data is used to:
(a) Verify identity via Know-Your-Customer (KYC) procedures;
(b) Facilitate and manage service bookings;
(c) Process transactions and automated split settlements via FIUU;
(d) Improve platform security, detect fraud, and mitigate chargeback risks.
3. Data Sharing & Contact Masking
To protect your privacy, SolveMY employs Contact Masking. Providers will only see the Seeker's specific location and contact details AFTER a booking is confirmed. Except as explicitly stated in this policy (such as regulatory or payment processing requirements), we do not sell, rent, or lease your data to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services & Regulatory Transmission
We share necessary data with licensed partners to operate our platform, specifically:
(a) FIUU (Payment Partner): For payment processing. For Service Providers (Providers), to comply with anti-money laundering (AML) laws and sub-merchant onboarding criteria, your identity verification documents (IC/Passport), corporate registration details, and bank account information will be direct-transmitted to FIUU for regulatory review.
(b) Technical Operations: Sentry (error tracking) and Google Maps API (location services).
All third-party partners are bound by their own confidentiality and privacy obligations.
5. Data Storage & Cross-Border Transfer
Your data is encrypted and stored on secure servers located outside of Malaysia (specifically via Hetzner Singapore and Cloudflare R2). By using the Platform, you explicitly consent to such cross-border data transfer and storage in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) guidelines.
6. Data Retention
In accordance with Malaysian statutory and financial laws, financial, transactional, and relevant KYC records must be strictly retained for a period of seven (7) years from the date of the transaction.
7. Your Rights & Limitations
You have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data by contacting our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at support@solvemy.com.my. However, please note that the right to erasure (deletion) does not apply to data that SolveMY and FIUU are legally obligated to retain for regulatory, tax, anti-fraud, or financial auditing purposes under Section 6 of this policy.
8. Consent
By creating an account, registering as a Provider, or using any services on SolveMY, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and consent to the collection, processing, sharing, and cross-border transfer of your data as described in this policy.
