Last updated: 21 June 2026

SolveMY ("we", "us", "our", operated by Startone Venture) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our users ("User", "Seeker", "Provider", "Merchant"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, process, disclose, and safeguard your personal data in compliance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA 2010). By downloading, registering, or using the SolveMY mobile application and platform (the "App"), you explicitly consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this Policy.

1. Personal Data We Collect

We collect information that is necessary to provide, secure, and improve our Commission-Free Local Service Marketplace. This includes: 1.1 Basic Profile Information (All Users): Full name, phone number, email address, gender, date of birth, and profile picture. 1.2 Verification Data (Providers & Merchants – KYC): • National Registration Identity Card (NRIC / MyKad) photos or Passport details. • A clear, front-facing live selfie photograph (for facial recognition and verification). • Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) business registration certificates and corporate details (for the Merchant tier). 1.3 Real-Time Location Data (LBS): Precise geographical location data (GPS coordinates) via your mobile device to power our PostGIS-driven "nearby providers/tasks" map features. 1.4 Content & Media Assets: Images or videos uploaded by verified Providers/Merchants to their "Media Display Wall" (up to 15 items) and service listings. 1.5 Transaction & Log Data: Subscription payment logs processed through our payment gateway (FIUU), device ID, IP addresses, app crashes, and routing statistics (such as WhatsApp Bypass click counts).

2. How We Use Your Personal Data

Your personal data is processed for the following definitive purposes: 2.1 Service Matching: To calculate physical distances and recommend nearby service providers or tasks using location-based algorithms. 2.2 Identity & Trust Verification (KYC): To perform automated and manual screening of Providers/Merchants to prevent fraud, scams, and illegal activities on the platform. 2.3 Communication Routing: To generate pre-filled text links that enable Seekers to launch external communication via the WhatsApp Bypass feature. 2.4 Subscription & Payment Management: To manage monthly/annual billing, track invoices, and prevent payment gateway fraud via our partner, FIUU. 2.5 Platform Governance: To manage the 100-Point Credit Score System, process user reports/reviews, and enforce account suspension or termination for platform violations.

3. Disclosure of Your Personal Data

As a peer-to-peer directory platform, we do not intermediate cash flows, but we share data under strict boundaries: 3.1 Public Availability: A Provider's business name, location radius, ratings, reviews, and uploaded media assets will be visible to all Seekers on the Platform. Your official NRIC/Passport photo used for KYC will NEVER be made public. 3.2 Law Enforcement & Regulatory Bodies: In accordance with Malaysian laws, SolveMY reserves the absolute right to disclose any User's full verification data (including NRIC, selfie, and SSM records) to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), or judicial courts in the event of an official criminal, fraud, or scam investigation. 3.3 Service Providers: We share necessary metadata with technical partners (e.g., FIUU for payment processing, Mapbox/Google Maps for LBS mapping, Sentry for error tracking) solely to operate the App's core infrastructure.

4. Data Retention & Security

4.1 Security Measures: We employ industry-standard encryption, firewalls, and secure backend routing (Golang architecture hosted in secure data centers) to prevent unauthorized access or leakage of your personal data. 4.2 Retention Period: We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. If an account is terminated or deleted, we may still retain verification data for a statutory period required by Malaysian financial and criminal laws to assist in anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud audits.

5. Your Rights Under PDPA 2010

Under the Malaysian PDPA 2010, you possess the following rights regarding your personal data: • Right to Access & Correct: You may view and edit your profile data at any time via the Profile Settings page within the App. • Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent for location tracking or data processing by disabling location permissions in your mobile OS settings or requesting account deletion. However, withdrawing certain consents may restrict your ability to use core features of the App. • Account Deletion: You can request the permanent deletion of your account via the System Settings interface.
